The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) starts tomorrow, February 12 and continues through the 15th — you, your kids, your friends, and anyone can be part of the annual worldwide census of birds sponsored by Audubon, Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology and Bird Studies Canada. Thousands of people worldwide participate. Here is how to create an account to sign up and be part of the worldwide event.

Read the Green News Update story for access to two important bird studies released in September 2014 about how climate change, habitat loss, large scale farming, and urbanization are having harmful effects on migratory birds. And start counting — be part of GBBC’s worldwide bird count!
