Sartore’s newest book The Photo Ark (2017)

A three-part  documentary Rare: Creatures of the Photo Ark, with photographer and conservationist Joel  Sartore, will be broadcast in July and early August on PBS  (public televisions) stations throughout the US.   Check local listings for times.

The series was produced by WGBH Boston, and shows Sartore documenting 12,000+  endangered and rare animals in zoos, nature preserves and in the wild around the world. Sartore created the Photo Ark project in 2005. Why is he doing this ? Tune in and you’ll find out why.

Internationally, the series airs on the National Geographic Channel in September.
